Training Service Dogs for the Disabled

MSAR will be expanding this service in the future to more people – currently we have trained service dogs for some deserving people:

Jasper – is a deaf detection dog.  A woman recently lost her husband and basically her ability to function in her world, her husband acted as her ears.  So our association trained a dog to detect – the phone, smoke alarm, person at the door, cooking timers etc.  The dog is not only her ears but her companion and comfort.  We did not charge for the dog due to her financial situation but a dog of this level would cost $8,000 - $10,000.
